I love meeting people across the lifespan and hearing their stories. I am constantly amazed at the resilience that I see in the people that I get to meet with. It is a great honor to get to come alongside people in their darkest times and bear witness to the changes that they make in their lives and relationships.

It is a great honor to get to come alongside people in their darkest times and bear witness to the changes that they make in their lives and relationships.
I share a bit about myself and my therapeutic orientation. I let clients know what to expect from the therapy process and what they can come to expect from me. I am open with clients and encourage questions they may have throughout the therapeutic relationship. I ask questions and listen to their stories of who they are and what they bring into the therapy.
I am interested in the meanings that you make from your life experiences and the influence that these have on your perspectives of yourself, your relationships, and your future. I consider it an honor to work alongside you to bring about the changes you desire in your life and relationships

What I hope to accomplish is to guide my clients in helping them find their strengths in order to discover their full potential. Creating a safe space for my clients, is important to me. I want my clients to leave our sessions feeling hopeful and empowered to take on whatever life brings.
The populations I specialize in are: LGBTQIA+, trauma survivors, military, BIPOC, teens, neurodivergent individuals, post-partum, depression, bipolar, anxiety, and those struggling with substance use. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-focused Therapy.
Therapy can be helpful for a variety of reasons. Feeling validated and supported is so important. My belief is that everything we need in order to overcome life's challenges, already lives inside of us. Having someone there to help navigate these obstacles can make a world of difference.

Justin Larson’s approach to counseling is grounded in not only his training with CBT, DBT, and Narrative therapeutic modalities but also his experience as a formerly incarcerated person in recovery. His background outside of counseling includes work in criminal justice reform, gang disengagement, substance use, prison reentry, and playing in a terrible rock band. He is open minded, meets people where they’re at (emotionally, that is, sessions are going to be virtual or in our office), and finds meaning in being of service to others in any way that he can. When he’s not counseling, he’s petting cats and reading.
